All materials will be included, but please bring any drinks and snacks

The workshop will begin with a short walk to some of the most beautiful sites within Cavan Burren Park, before sitting to paint and enjoy a stunning view of Cuilcagh Mountain, Tullygobbin Tomb or the rugged landscape that surrounds you. Painting will be done outdoors, in the event of rain or high winds, painting will be moved to the interpretative centre – please ensure you have a camera or phone to capture the image you wish to paint.

This workshop will be led by local artist Kim Gaffney:

“Kim’s artwork has appeared in local and national newspapers and magazines. She has spoken about her artistic journey on local radio stations. In 2022 Kim appeared as a wildcard on Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the year. RTE’s Nationwide have featured the artist and her work on Orwin and Sebana.

Kim lives in the countryside in Co Cavan with her husband, young family and Bernese Mountain Dog, George. She work’s with oils and her work is very much inspired by country living. She enjoys painting nature and wildlife as well as landscapes and lakes.”
