Flower Insect Timed Counts – Join Geopark staff to take part in the fun family friendly citizen science event. We need you to help us to see what insects are visiting and living in our Geopark. All you need to do is grab your ID charts from staff, and head off with the family to find a flower to watch for 15 mins and record what you can see on our ID charts! This information is vital for recording pollinators in the area, and you can log the information yourself on the National Biodiversity Data Centre or return to Geopark staff who will log for you. Why not take part in a scavenger hunt or treasure trail while you’re there, bring a picnic or go for a walk, enjoy the beautiful sites!
So please join us at Tully Castle and Castle Saunderson, get your ID charts and monitor insects to add to the National Database. Scavenger hunts and treasure trails are also available!
