Ballintempo & Carrigan Forests – Temporary Closure

Ballintempo and Carrigan Forest will be closed on Saturday 3 September 2022 from 8:00am to 4:00pm to facilitate an organised event.  All other sites within Cuilcagh Lakelands UNESCO Global Geopark remain open.  The Cuilcagh Lakelands UNESCO Global Geopark, located in counties Fermanagh and Cavan, contains some of the finest landscapes on the island of Ireland.   

There are more than 50 sites in the Cuilcagh Lakelands UNESCO Global Geopark which are open all year round and free of charge to explore.
