Cuilcagh Boardwalk Trail – Temporary Closure for Essential Maintenance Update

Further to the below, please be advised that Cavan Burren Park and Cuilcagh Boardwalk Trail will remain closed to the public on Wednesday 20 March to facilitate essential maintenance works.

Cuilcagh Boardwalk Trail Temporary closure for essential maintenance

Cuilcagh Boardwalk Trail and Cavan Burren Park, located within Cuilcagh Lakelands UNESCO Global Geopark, will  close to the public on Tuesday 19 March and Wednesday 20 March, reopening to walkers on Thursday 21 March.  Essential maintenance works will be on-going on the Boardwalk from Thursday 21 March to Friday 29 March, subject to weather conditions.  Please adhere to all on-site safety signage during this time.   We  apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience during this closure.  All other sites within Cuilcagh Lakelands UNESCO Global Geopark remain open during this time.

Cuilcagh Lakelands UNESCO Global Geopark, located in Counties Fermanagh and Cavan, contains some of the finest landscapes on the island of Ireland.

There are more than 50 sites in the Cuilcagh Lakelands UNESCO Global Geopark which are open all year round and free of charge to explore.
