Wind Warning Wind – 23 & 24 January

Published: 23 January 2024

As the impact of #stormisha dissipates #stormjocelyn makes its self known. Met Office have issued a yellow weather warning as #stormisha is expected to bring very strong winds and rain on Tuesday 23 through to Wednesday 24 January for Fermanagh and Met Éireann has issued a yellow weather warning for wind in Cavan during this period also.
Therefore, we strongly advise the public to avoid wooded areas, sites with trees and areas on high ground within the Geopark.
We are still assessing the impacts of #stormisha and from a Fermanagh perspective at present our recreational Trails in Old Castle Archdale, Castle Caldwell, Tully Castle and Ballintempo Forest have been impacted. Lough Navar Scenic Drive has also been closed due to fallen trees.
Site inspections remain on-going as our Ranger team is working to deal with these impacts. We appreciate your patience, understanding and co-operation during this time and our sincere thanks to all our followers for working with us in relation to these weather warnings and we look forward to welcoming you to our geopark sites when the warnings have passed.
Keep an eye on our webpage and socials for updates.
