We are a community run Hostel offering budget accommodation for up to 26 guests. We provide a perfect location to visit Cuilcagh Boardwalk “Stairway to Heaven”, Marble Arch Caves, Cavan Burren Park, and Tullydermott Falls. All attractions are a 15 minutes’ drive. Trivia House provides the ideal place for a quiet, relaxing break. Family friendly.

Facilities: 7 ensuite bedrooms including 4 family rooms with bunk beds, free Wi-Fi and parking. 2 fully equipped kitchens for self-catering. Hair dryer, Iron, Ironing boards available. Large outdoor garden space with BBQ area. Children’s playground, Digital Hub and bike hire.

How did the Business Sustainability Training Programme benefit you and your business?

The Business Sustainability Training Programme was very beneficial to our accommodation business. Our staff have now been trained in energy efficiency, water conservation and recycling of waste. They have a better knowledge of biodiversity and leave no trace. We have eliminated one use plastics and now provide toiletries in dispensers. We have carried out an energy audit for the building which will enable us to become more energy efficient.

What is the main sustainability focus of your business?

We hope to provide a Hostel with a green ethos in the future. Energy efficient and minimising waste. We will replace all lighting to LEDs, install solar panels and use more efficient toilets and showers.
