Shared Bogs, Shared Futures – Peatland Heritage Guided Walk on Cuilcagh
As part of the Shared Bogs Shared Futures Peatland Project, join us this June for a series of Peatland Heritage events celebrating World Peatland Day.
Discover how peatland restoration is helping to safeguard access to the stunning Marble Arch Caves, an experience once at risk. This guided walk will take you through Cuilcagh’s rich and interconnected habitats, revealing how changes on the surface can impact both the landscape above and the fragile cave system below.
Led by the Peatland Officer and the Marble Arch Caves Operations Officer, this walk offers a unique opportunity to learn about the history of restoration on Cuilcagh, how management approaches have evolved, and the positive outcomes for biodiversity and ecosystem health.
